So thats my goal. Its my goal every year- to do whatever it takes to post, and to eat up 200 chats per year.

  4. Friends-

    From Tomase in todays Herald:

A pull hitter who once blasted 48 home runs in a season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Beltre has nonetheless been cursed to play in home parks that are more than 330 feet to left field and 385 feet to the power alleys.

  5. Possible correction-

I may be wrong about cursed 385′ power alleys.

Im confused on this upon further thinking because though fenway does have a 313 left, its 379 in left ctr, 420 in rt ctr, and a rough rt field once you flee away from the fowl pole.

Yet its known as a hitters park, with power alley dimensions, apart from straight left and rt pole, just as bad or worse.

    oh well.

Two States Legalize Guns in Bars

Two states acted last week to make it easier for armed gun owners to hang out with drunk people.

Last Tuesday, a new guns-in-bars law took effect in Tennessee after a judge in Nashville refused to issue a temporary injunction blocking its implementation. A few hours later, Arizona followed suit with a measure signed into law by the state’s governor, Jan Brewer. The Arizona Republic reported that the governor’s action “expanded the rights of gun owners by allowing those with a concealed-carry permit to take their firearms into establishments that serve alcohol.”

  7. Bloomberg now reports Walmart in a hostile bid to buy out Google. Meeting with the two parties results in a brawl in the executive dining room- 3 dead and 15 injured.

Police afraid to get involved. Obama- ‘no comment’.

  8. So…More than 15 days have passed.

    No announced winner.

    Was this a Toyota car?

I believe this site is the front for something…

Perhaps something unsavory (Tip of The Cap to Johnny MaCain!)…

    Perhaps not.

    Perhaps it’s just ric’s socks.

This is one of the greatest. Go to the site and you can hear the kid doing air traffic control.

AUDIO: Listen As A Kid Directs Air Traffic At JFK

By Chris Morran on March 2, 2010 11:41 PM.

We know that JFK is woefully understaffed in the air traffic control tower, but this is downright silly. The FAA has confirmed that a newly uncovered audio file is indeed that of a young child controlling air traffic over the radio to planes waiting to depart the busy NYC airport.

  12. School condemned after pupils left in tears by mock shooting

Schoolchildren were left in tears after seeing one of their teachers shot down by a crazed gunman in the playground in a role-playing stunt organised by staff.

The youngsters, aged between 10 and 13, thought they were taking part in a fire drill when an alarm bell rang and they were ushered out into the playground.

But they were left in terror as a man appeared brandishing a gun and appeared to shoot dead Mr Kent, their science teacher, as he ran across a field.
