I have been spending some time working in Charlotte County Florida for the past few weeks.
The Rays train there. Was sitting in a Tavern in Punta Gorda one night two weeks ago and it was me and my buddy and Joe Madon in there, nobody else. He struck up a conversation and we spent ten minutes chatting about baseball and a lot about the Price kid. It was a pleasure and he is a very nice guy.
Last Wednesday I was in a restaurant in Boca Grande Island just up the road from the training facility, evidently a lot of the players are staying there with family. Evan Longoria and some Huge tall guy, never caught his name but he was a player were seated at the bar.. I was separated from them by two old farts from Phillie and the old fart lady says “Hey guys thanks for the championship” Immediately pissing off the players. Longoria says something back to the guy and I looked over and said “What do you expect from a Phillie Fan”.
The old farts ask if they were well treated while in Phillie and the two players walk to my side of the bar section of the restaurant and proceed to tell me horror stories about airhorns outside their hotel 24 7 and all sorts of other BS. Longoria is not that big real young and again a real decent guy, talked to them for five minutes and their wives came in. They shook my hand and said good luck and I wished them well.
It was a nice week.

I know it works, PSF….but we are not using it. Been a long time since the room was full of folks most all day/night long. I hope the room gets more use this summer.
