Day game at Wrigley

So all the hype this weekend is about the Sox/Cubs matchup; the first
one since the 1918 World Series.  Having never been to Wrigley
Field, I'd love to be there…alas; it is not to be.  At least I'm
working at home today, so I'll be able to watch it.

This is the kind of matchup that makes interleague play
interesting…someone explain to me again why this is the first time
they are meeting since interleague play began?  And while I make
it a point not to read Dan Shaugnessey, I'd be willing to bet dollars
to doughnuts that today's column has at least one mention of a
'curse'.

I caught the Sox on 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' this week, as I'm
sure most of you did.  It is only the 2nd time I've seen the show;
I was amused.  Evidently there has been some uproar in some
circles about how terrible it is to have the gays hanging around the
ballplayers…I don't get it.  Plus, I never thought I'd hear the
word 'taint' in a TV show.
